Risk Management Update


The Goldfarb Foundation will present the Risk Management Update at the 2019 Clinical Conference. The update is scheduled from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia, PA.  The Risk Management Update will offer 2.0 CE Contact Hours for podiatrists. A complimentary dinner for Risk Management registrants with be available from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, prior to the start of the meeting.  The registration fee for Risk Management is $95 and does include the above mentioned dinner.

Everything Electronic and the Impact on Your Practice


This program will include a discussion on how your website, social media, EMR and cell phone usage impact your podiatric practice and fuel medical malpractice lawsuits. You will be able to utilize this information to educate and train your staff on appropriate use of technology and social media in your practice.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this seminar, the attendee shall be able to:

- Describe the impact of cell phones on their practice, inclusive of tape recorded calls, photos, videos, texting/emailing with patients, telemedicine and recommendations based on the law.
- Recognize the good, the bad and the ugly of EMR and its effect on podiatric practices and malpractice lawsuits.  

- Apply sound documentation practices to improve patient care and reduce risk.
- Identify the pros and cons of social media, best practices for handling negative reviews on social media without violating HIPAA, office policies and procedures for social media sites and pointers to reduce their risk of being sued.
