The Goldfarb Foundation is planning the Annapolis Meeting as face-to-face event.  However, if circumstances prohibit face-to-face events or large gatherings, the continuing education content will be presented in a live-stream format.

our plans

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Goldfarb Foundation has been making the necessary adjustments to plan the Annapolis Meeting to ensure participant safety is the top priority.  Without knowing what the requirements will be in December 2020, we are preparing for the possibilities of:

  • Required social distancing
  • Hand sanitizing stations
  • Taking participant temperatures
  • Mask wearing
  • Ensuring the current mandates from the Governor and Secretary of Health in MD are being followed
  • Working with the hotel and reviewing their cleanliness policies and protocols

Please check back at this page often for updates relatd to the impact of COVID-19 on the Clinical Conference.

Many questions have come into the Foundation regarding the Clinical Conference and Annapolis Meetings. The following FAQs have been designed to answer your questions and, unless stated otherwise, apply to both events. You can always check out the COVID-19 pages for both the Clinical Conference and Annapolis.

Will there be a Clinical Conference in 2020?
YES!! The Goldfarb Foundation is planning the 2020 Clinical Conference as a face-to-face meeting. However, if circumstances prohibit face-to-face events or large gatherings, the continuing education content will be presented in a live-stream format. Same goes for Annapolis. The Clinical Conference is scheduled for Thursday, November 5-8 and Annapolis for December 4-6.

How do I register for the meetings?
Registration for this year's Clinical Conference will open on August 1 and September 1 for Annapolis. All registrations for the meetings will be accepted online and on-site registration will not be available.

When will you know for sure if the meeting will be face-to-face or virtual?
In a perfect world, we will have a drop-dead that allows our decision making process to dictate the best format of the meeting. However, Plan B, a virtual event, will always be in our back pocket. If we've learned nothing this year, it's to be prepared for ANYTHING to happen! As soon as we know of any significant changes to the event format, we will advise you.

Will there be exhibitors?
We plan to have exhibitors at our events as many are eager to see your smiling faces- even if it is from 6 feet away.

How do I know I will be safe attending a face-to-face meeting?
The current reality we live in dictates that the Foundation and Valley Forge Casino Resort/Historic Inns of Annapolis will follow the CDC and PA/MD Department of Health guidelines for face-to-face meetings. Taking temperatures, offering hand sanitizer stations, requiring masks, and required social distancing may all be aspects of the face-to-face meeting. The decision to participate in an in-person event is up to each individual.

Why not make the meeting virtual now?
It is the goal to offer our 2020 educational meetings in-person. We've successfully been doing it this way for nearly 50 years and plan to this year as well!

I'd like to participate in the meeting but I'm not sure if I want to register until closer to the event.
Introducing the Register Risk-Free* Guarantee! When you register for the Clinical Conference between August 1 and October 15 and need to cancel, a full refund will be available. You can also defer your registration to the 2021 Clinical Conference. *To receive a full refund, you must cancel your registration by October 15, 2020.

The same Register Risk-Free* Guarantee applies to the Annapolis Meeting with the registrations received between September 1 and November 12. *To receive a full refund for Annapolis, cancellation requests must be received by November 12.

What happens to my in-person event registration if the meeting goes virtual?
Should the event format need to be changed from in-person to virtual, all registrations would be converted to the new format.
